Demi Vollering wins duel with former boss
Demi Vollering delivered her first victory in a one-day classic for her new team FDJ-Suez after she left SD Worx that settled for second place after four consecutives wins in Strade Bianche Women Elite. It marked the big come-back of Anna van der Breggen who was Vollering’s sport director for three years. The rivals reached Siena together with Vollering making the final decision in the gruelling last climb of Santa Catarina street.
