VIDRITTA
The athletes begin to get acquainted with what will define their entire day: dust and gravel.
Vidritta is the first sterrato section, tackled shortly after leaving Siena, after around ten kilometres of racing, and although its 2.4 km are completely flat and straight (making it technically straightforward) it is still the first white road of the day, which means nerves will be high.
The bunch will fight hard for position, and every team will want to hit the sector at the front before tougher challenges arrive.
