Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx) has won the tenth edition of Strade Bianche Women Elite Crédit Agricole, 137km from Siena to Siena (Piazza del Campo). The World Champion crossed the finish line in the iconic square ahead of Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl – Trek) and Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx).
Speaking seconds after the finish, Lotte Kopecky said: “We were a bit more in control today. We played it really good as a team. I could have attacked Elisa Longo Borghini earlier but I did it at the right moment I think. I didn’t have my best legs today but it’s amazing to win Strade Bianche for the second time, especially with the rainbow jersey”.
