An 11.5 km sector exclusive to the men’s race featuring relentless undulations, 4.5 km of climbing and gradients that ramp up to 18%, demanding to be ridden at full gas and often serving as the pivotal point where contenders make their move and weaker riders are definitively distanced, even though it can lie nearly 80 km from Siena in the modern route.
The sector is dedicated to Fabian Cancellara, the first rider to win Strade Bianche three times.
