COLLE PINZUTO

One of the most iconic sectors of Strade Bianche, Colle Pinzuto was fittingly dedicated to Tadej Pogačar after his hat-trick of victories; the climb rises throughout, but it is the opening 400 metres that are truly brutal, a genuine gravel wall pitching up to 15%, and as if that were not enough, since 2024 it has been tackled twice, first at 47 km to go and again at 17, with the second passage often proving decisive – in 2025 Pogačar dropped Tom Pidcock here, while the sector has also seen Tiesj Benoot launch his comeback in the mud and rain of 2018, Wout van Aert light it up in 2020, and Anna van der Breggen power clear solo in 2018.
